Why 2017 Will Be Chris Brown’s Banner Year
Chris Brown’s career has been plagued with controversy and very public run-ins with the law. His latest feud (in what feels like a never-ending altercation) with Soulja Boy has splashed headlines early into 2017 and looks headed toward an official ending in the form of a celebrity boxing match. Comedy (ahem, drama) aside, if Chris can maintain a readiness to step away from controversy and regain his spot on the Billboard charts, 2017 may be a great year for his career music wise.
Fresh off the release of his dance heavy record Party, featuring Gucci Mane and frequent collaborator Usher, Chris may be releasing music sooner than we anticipate. As of right now, his eighth studio effort he’s tentatively named Heartbreak on a Full Moon has no release date, but judging from the previews he’s giving fans on his Instagram, the album may be further along than we think:
Along with new music, Chris has been keeping busy creating designs for his clothing line Black Pyramid. He’s even enlisted the help of some celebrity friends like Remy Ma & Will.I.Am to help promote the budding brand:
Never a dull moment in Breezy’s life, to make sure 2017 will be a career year for him, Chris has the ultimate behind-the-scenes look at his life for his fans (and foes) to enjoy with a documentary that chronicles the ups and downs he’s endured. Taking to twitter to confirm the film is on its way, it seems the documentary will be touching on his very public physical altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna and how he managed to redeem himself with the public who at one point completely (and rightfully) turned their backs on the R&B sensation:

Chris’ ability to be a staple in the music industry has never been a question of his talent but more so a question of his temperament. After years of controversy eclipsing his own skill set, it would be nice to see Chris Brown rise above in 2017 and be the artist he once was before his fall from grace. If there are no unexpected surprises, expect the bad boy you love to hate to make this year, his year.
