Justin Bieber Can’t Stop Trolling the Weeknd

By  |

Recent news of Selena Gomez moving on from her ex, Justin Bieber, to another Canadian crooner, The Weeknd, swept the rumor mill like wild fire. Since then, Justin has caught wind of the budding relationship and has been everything but subtle about voicing his opinion of the pair. Though one would argue that Jelena (Justin and Selena) are done –  and have been done for a while – it seems that’s neither here nor there when it comes to Justin’s willingness to troll The Weeknd.
The first shot came when he was approached by paparazzi. When asked how he felt about the Weeknd’s music, he had select words for the paps:

When no response was offered, Justin decided to continue on his petty campaign. During an Instagram Live video, a fan asked him what his favorite song was to which he sarcastically responded “Starboy by the Weeknd”:

The Weeknd must taken notice of Justin’s feeble trolling efforts as he stepped up his game and took shots at the pop titan on his brand new collaboration with rising Toronto rapper/producer NAV called “Some Way.” In the collaborative effort (in the hook specifically), The Weeknd boasts about how he took a girl and left someone feeling some kind of way. So we’ll let you be the judge of Justin’s affiliation to the lyrics on the track.

Despite Justin’s claims of not liking the Weeknd’s music, it’s just a matter of time before he hears “Some Way.” And when he does, there’s no telling what will transpire given his proven inability to take the high road when it comes to Selena Gomez and their former romance. Tensions between Justin and The Weeknd don’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. If anything, the trolling between these two may turn into a pop rivalry for the ages.
