After much speculation it’s finally been confirmed Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the popular spring festival, Coachella. News came this morning via Coachella twitter post:

Both artists are coming off a major 2016. TDE frontman Kendrick Lamar released his Untitled Unmastered album that was received with great adulation from both fans and notable celebrities. While Queen Bey created even more distance between herself and her respective counterparts delivering her platinum album Lemonade that sent the internet & her “Beyhive” respectively into a social media frenzy. Both artists combined are up for 11 Grammy nominations (9 of them being from Beyonce).
Coachella marks Beyonce’s first planned performance of 2017 as she’s been touring and traveling in support of Lemonade. While she’s made previous cameos at the desert festival, this will be the first time she is a headliner. As usual Coachella will be going down this April (the first weekend being April 14th – 16th & the second being the 21st – 23rd). Other notable artists include Travis Scott, Radiohead, Future, Lorde and Torey Lanez. To see the full lineup for both weekends, click here.
Although the festival has garnered a reputation for it’s musical line up, it’s equally been known to have some of our favorite celebrities casually walking around. Passes go on sale tomorrow, January 4th at 11:00am PST. To purchases passes click here.
