9 Acts You Cannot Miss at Mysteryland This Year
Mysteryland is the world’s longest running electronic music festival, having begun in 1993 in the Netherlands. The festival came to the USA in 2014 at the site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. This year’s edition, running June 10-13, will be its third showing in the States.
The Chainsmokers blew up after releasing this track 9 months ago, which now sits at close to 20 million plays on SoundCloud. Since then, they’ve released two more singles: “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Inside Out.”
Gramatik is a NYC based hip hop artist, originally from Slovenia. A year after his first release he was signed to Pretty Lights Music. Four years later, he left to start his own label called Lowtemp.
GRiZ is a future-funk producer from Michigan, known for playing saxophone during his live sets. Every holiday season he holds “12 Days of Grizmas,” an event intended to generate attention and revenue for non-profits.
Black Tiger Sex Machine is a trio from Montreal, Quebec. Just like Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, the group dons tiger stylized helmets for their live shows.
Ty Dolla $ign is a rapper from LA, best known for his singles “Or Nah,” “Paranoid,” and “Blasé.”
MK is a house producer from Detroit who gained a following from his remixes of regular pop records and turning them into house bangers.
Keys N Krates are another Canadian trio, this time from Toronto. The band has evolved from a live hip hop act into a trio of producers.
Ganja White Night is a dubstep/bass-music duo from Belgium. The group has a strong European following and is beginning to build the same Stateside by playing other festivals like Infrasound and Bass Landing.
The Funk Hunters are a Vancouver, British Columbia, based electro-funk duo looking to reinvent dance music. They’ve performed in over 16 countries and are continuing to try and take over dance floors all over the world.
