8 Songs That Define Being a College Student

We love music so much because songs can relate to every part of life. Let’s face it, college life is hard. It’s difficult to balance everything that is going on. Especially when all you really want to do is eat and watch Netflix in bed. Here are some songs that describe college life to a t.


1. “The Lazy Song” – Bruno Mars

Yep, nothing can describe being a college student better than this song. We all just want to nap. The goal is always to stay at home and be lazy all day. That’s why we pray so hard for snow days.

Lyric: “Today I don’t feel like doing anything / I just wanna lay in my bed”


2. “Hakuna Matata” – The Lion King

It means no worries for the re – Well, no worries for the next four years compared to life after them anyway.

Lyric: “Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase / Hakuna Matata, ain’t no passing craze / It means no worries for the rest of your days / It’s our problem free philosophy, Hakuna Matata”


3. “College Kids” – Relient K

This would be the theme song that plays on MTV’s “True Life” episode about college life.

Lyric: “I’m poor, I’m starving, I’m flat broke, I’ve got no cash to spend / Sell all my books for front row tickets to Dave Matthews Band”


4. “High School Never Ends” – Bowling For Soup

Sad but true, no matter where you go in life, high school really never ends.

5. “I Love College” – Asher Roth

Because the only thing better than dollar slices is free pizza. Free always wins.

When you’re living the college struggle, every penny counts. We’re all on that Goodwill hustle, even if some people won’t admit to it.

If you haven’t been there, you definitely know someone who has.

Kanye knows exactly how you feel about college, thats why the album is called, The College Dropout.

It’s the Beastie Boys. What else do you really need to sum up college?
